Another from the June AHS show; it hasn’t been blooming much, but it’s tripled in size overall. Hopefully we’ll see lots more huge bloomslike this one as we go into the fall. The flower is about 9in across, creamy white and ruffled.
I'm Tess Conrad, Yankee gone native in New Orleans. After dozens visits to research and write about NO's history I figured it'd be cheaper to just move, and in 2002 we did just that.
The blog was started as a companion to my New Orleans-themed shop (now closed), and give visitors a glimpse into life here. I'm keeping the blog here, even though I haven't been as good at updating it as I ought to be.
I still write, not to mention photograph everything in sight, and gambol in the garden. Drop me a line, let me know what you think, or what you'd like to see covered!
